Jerusalem, 29 October, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Tel Aviv District Police officers thwarted a potential violent crime by a suspect from Umm al-Fahm after intercepting a suspicious vehicle and seizing a fully operational handgun hidden inside.
The operation unfolded during proactive patrols in the area, where law enforcement personnel signaled a vehicle to pull over for a routine inspection.
A subsequent search of the automobile uncovered a loaded, ready-to-use pistol concealed within the interior.
Officers immediately detained the vehicle’s occupants—a 23-year-old man and a 17-year-old minor, both residents of the northern Arab town Umm al-Fahm.
