Jerusalem, 26 October, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Two of Israel’s biggest supermarket figures are set to face off in court next week, when Rami Levy, owner of Rami Levy Hashikma, testifies in the price-fixing trial of Victory CEO and controlling shareholder Eyal Ravid.
Levy was summoned as a witness by the Israel Competition Authority, which is prosecuting Ravid over alleged attempts to signal to competitors that they should raise prices. The case centers on public statements and recordings from 2021 in which Ravid allegedly conditioned price increases on competitors doing the same.
Ravid is also accused of improperly intervening in suppliers’ pricing to competing retailers. Levy himself was investigated in the affair, but the case against him was closed.
Ravid and the other defendants deny the allegations. Levy’s testimony is expected to last one day.
