The surveillance led to the discovery of a concealed handgun. An indictment was filed. On 10/10/26, detectives from the Northern District conducted operations in the village of Muqeible, using both covert and overt forces, with the aim of responding to and preventing shooting incidents stemming from an existing local dispute. During the operation, an electric motorcycle without a license plate was identified leaving a compound associated with a family involved in the dispute. The detectives began following its movement within the village without the riders noticing the detectives behind them. Shortly thereafter, the motorcycle stopped near a parked truck, and one of the suspects dismounted and tampered with a toolbox under the truck. The detectives arrived at the scene, arrested the suspect, and discovered a Glock handgun concealed in the toolbox. Yesterday (Thursday), upon completion of the investigation phase, the Nazareth Prosecution Unit filed an indictment against the suspect (Muqeible, 23) for offenses of weapon possession and driving without a license.
