Cannabis Not Dispensed Wed. Dec 24, 2025 Due to System Upgrade

Medical cannabis will not be dispensed on Dec 24, 2025, in Israel due to a Ministry of Health system upgrade. Plan ahead for prescriptions.

Breaking News

On Wednesday, December 24, the ministry of Health’s medical cannabis licensing system will undergo a system upgrade. The system is expected to be back online the following day, December 25.

As a result of the upgrade, the system will be unavailable on that day, and medical cannabis will not be dispensed to patients with cannabis licenses. In addition, it will not be possible to submit or process cannabis-related requests through the Government Online Services system, including new applications submitted by physicians or the upload of documents for applications pending completion.

The Ministry of Health asks all parties to plan accordingly and obtain any required items in advance.

The Ministry reminds the public that a “dispensing authorization” can be issued up to five days before its start date (provided the license is valid). Therefore, patients whose dispensing date falls on this day and whose license is valid may come in advance.
