Jerusalem, 2 November, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Two young men, aged 29 and 23, from Afula and Nof Hagalil, have been indicted on Monday for a prolonged stabbing attack in downtown Afula against a man with whom they had a dispute.
According to the indictment, the suspects returned with several associates, surrounded the victim to prevent his escape, and attacked him for several minutes using a utility knife, spikes, and a screwdriver. The assault took place on October 5, as the victim walked with his girlfriend toward a food stand. She was also injured and knocked to the ground during the attack.
The suspects allegedly threatened to shoot the victim if he contacted police and demanded that he leave Afula. After fleeing the city, the perpetrators were arrested following a manhunt lasting more than two weeks. Prosecutors have requested their detention until the conclusion of legal proceedings.
