Jerusalem, 7 October, 2026 (TPS-IL) — SHECHEM — Israeli forces launched a wide-scale overnight operation across Judea and Samaria on Wednesday to demolish dozens of public monuments dedicated to Palestinian terrorists, military officials confirmed.

The engineering operation targeted structures in Shechem (Nablus), Ya’bad, and surrounding towns that authorities designated as public incitement infrastructure. Among the demolished sites were a central monument in downtown Nablus and a memorial for Yasser al-Hamduni, a terrorist who was convicted of murder and who died in prison, near Jenin.

Security forces distributed notices warning residents that glorification of terrorism would draw immediate prosecution and demolition. Officials stated the campaign aims to dismantle physical infrastructure supporting incitement while enforcing public order across regional urban centers and villages.
