Jerusalem, 5 October, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Shechem — Elite Duvdevan commandos, operating under the Samaria Regional Brigade, apprehended two suspected arms dealers in the Kasbah of Shechem (Nablus) on Sunday during what the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) called a “precision operation” directed by the Shin Bet (Israel’s anti-terror General Security Service).
Military authorities confirmed the suspects were actively trading weaponry intended for imminent attacks against Israeli civilians and security personnel. Special forces executed a swift entry into the dense urban center, detaining both individuals within minutes without report of friendly casualties.
The IDF emphasized that units across the Judea and Samaria sector will maintain full operational freedom of action to proactively counter terror networks, disrupt illicit arms trafficking, and prevent future security threats across the region.
