Jerusalem, 2 October, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Female political leaders from Israel’s opposition parties held a joint meeting on Friday as the October 27 Knesset election campaign intensifies.

The meeting brought together Merav Ben Ari (Yesh Atid, running on the joint “Beyachad” list), Keren Turner (Beyachad), Orit Farkash-Hacohen (Yashar!, Gadi Eisenkot’s party), Talia Lankri (Yisrael Beytenu), and Naama Lazimi (The Democrats), with discussions reportedly focusing on coordination, campaign strategy, and cooperation ahead of the election.

The meeting comes as opposition parties seek to coordinate their efforts while maintaining separate political frameworks and platforms.

Last weekend, the leaders of several major opposition parties: Gadi Eisenkot (Yashar!), Naftali Bennett (Beyachad), Yair Lapid (Yesh Atid, running jointly with Bennett on the Beyachad list), Yair Golan (The Democrats) and Avigdor Liberman (Yisrael Beytenu), also met to discuss coordination ahead of the election. They agreed to avoid attacking one another during the campaign and established working groups to facilitate cooperation.
