Eisenkots Campaign Warns Bennett Plans to Join Netanyahus Government

Jerusalem, 25 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Gadi Eisenkot’s campaign is warning voters that Naftali Bennett could ultimately join a government led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu after the October 27 election, Israeli media reported Friday.
The warning comes amid growing competition between Eisenkot’s Yashar party and Bennett’s B’Yachad over leadership of the opposition bloc.
Bennett has said he is running for prime minister but would honor the bloc’s decision after the election and has ruled out a rotation agreement with Netanyahu. Eisenkot, meanwhile, has accused Bennett and Avigdor Liberman of refusing to commit to supporting the leader of the largest party in the bloc, saying such “old politics” could hurt their chances.
Netanyahu has attacked Eisenkot, claiming a government led by him would include Bennett, Liberman, Yair Golan, Yair Lapid and Arab parties.
