TPS: Illegal Land Takeovers Evacuated in Judea and Samaria
Civil Administration inspectors evacuated illegal structures and plantings covering 2 hectares in Judea and Samaria, part of a policy by Minister Smotrich.
Jerusalem, 20 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — According to Israeli reports, Civil Administration inspectors carried out an enforcement operation in two locations in Judea and Samaria, clearing illegal structures, encroachments, and plantings covering roughly 2 hectares.
The operation was carried out as part of an enforcement policy led by Minister in the Defense Ministry Bezalel Smotrich, under which Civil Administration units target illegal construction and the takeover of state land in Judea and Samaria.
The operation targeted areas near Makeda in the southern Hebron Hills and Shira in Samaria, adjacent to sites where the government is advancing the establishment of new communities. Authorities said the action focused on illegal activity in Area C, including structures built without permits on state land.
The enforcement effort came amid broader changes in how illegal outposts and construction are handled in Judea and Samaria.
