Jerusalem, 21 October, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Dana Kasdy, a close aide to Benny Gantz for nearly six years, published a revealing farewell post following the Blue and White leader’s withdrawal from Israel’s October 27 election.
Kasdy described years of personal sacrifice, saying she put her life on hold to support Gantz, working nights, weekends, and holidays, even while recovering from surgery or facing family and personal crises. She said she believed deeply in Gantz and his political mission, particularly when his party was struggling near the electoral threshold.
However, Kasdy expressed deep disappointment over what she described as a lack of reciprocity when she experienced a serious personal crisis. “It wasn’t mutual,” she wrote, calling the experience a painful slap in the face.
In August 2023, a court ordered PM Netanyahu’s son Yair to pay Dana Kasdy NIS 130,000 ($34,000) in damages for defamation over social media posts implying she had a romantic relationship with Benny Gantz.
