Jerusalem, 21 October, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and Shin Bet security agency killed Hamas Nukhba terrorist Musa Abd Muhammad Hamouda in an airstrike in Gaza City on Sunday, the IDF announced Wednesday.

Hamouda helped plan the explosive attack that killed four soldiers from the 52nd Tank Battalion on September 8, 2025: Lt. Matan Abramovitz, Staff Sgt. Amit Aryeh Regev, Sgt. Uri Lamed, and Sgt. Gadi Kotel.

His elimination marks a significant closing of the circle for the IDF’s 162nd Division. The four soldiers fell under the division’s command during Operation Gideon’s Chariots, and the division’s 215th Fire Brigade carried out the strike that killed Hamouda.

Throughout the war, Hamouda systematically targeted Israeli forces in Gaza. More recently, he advanced terrorist plots against IDF troops and Israeli civilians, rebuilt Hamas’s military capabilities, and repeatedly violated the ceasefire. He was killed from the air to eliminate the threat.
