Jerusalem, 21 October, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israeli political blocs are intensifying voter mobilization ahead of the October 27 election, with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu particularly concerned about fragmented right-wing support, Israeli media reported Wednesday.

Nine parties are running within his bloc, including Likud, Religious Zionism, Otzma Yehudit, Shas, United Torah Judaism, Ofer Winter’s Amcha Yisrael, Haredi Public, the Black Party, and Noam.

Netanyahu fears smaller lists could fall below the 3.25% electoral threshold, wasting votes and weakening his bloc. In 2022, left-wing parties Meretz and Balad fell short, leaving nearly 200,000 votes unrepresented.

Netanyahu and Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich have established a joint operations center to increase turnout in Likud, religious and Haredi strongholds. Hundreds of workers and volunteers are being deployed to encourage voting and bring supporters to polling stations.

Likud is also working with Shas to address voter disillusionment over unfulfilled promises and stalled draft-exemption legislation.
