Jerusalem, 7 October, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The IDF eliminated two Hamas terrorists who were hiding inside a hospital in the Gaza Strip on Wednesday, according to the military. The operation targeted terrorists using the medical facility as cover while continuing Hamas activity against Israeli forces.
The IDF has repeatedly documented Hamas’s use of hospitals and other civilian infrastructure for military purposes. In previous operations, troops have detained Hamas operatives hiding inside hospitals while taking measures to avoid harming patients and medical personnel.
The military says Hamas’s exploitation of medical facilities enables terrorists to conceal themselves among civilians and places patients and medical staff at risk.
The latest operation comes as IDF forces continue targeting Hamas operatives and infrastructure in Gaza. The military has said its forces are maintaining operations against immediate threats while seeking to minimize harm to civilians.
