Hamas Paramedic Planning Imminent Attack Killed in Israeli Strike

The IDF announced Thursday the killing of Hamas operative Ibrahim Abu Zakar, who was planning an imminent attack and directed multiple terror plots.

Jerusalem, 30 April, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The Israel Defense Forces said Thursday it killed Hamas operative Ibrahim Abu Zakar in an airstrike a day earlier. According to the IDF, Abu Zakar was planning an imminent attack against Israeli troops and had directed multiple terror plots during the war.

The IDF said he also served as a paramedic in Hamas’s military medical services.

“In parallel to his terrorist activity, Abu Zakar operated under the cover of a paramedic in the medical array of the Hamas Terrorist organization, thereby exploiting and endangering the medical system and the civilian population in the Gaza Strip,” the IDF said.
