Jerusalem, 25 October, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Former Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit returned to the witness stand Sunday for the sixth day of his testimony in Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s corruption trial at the Jerusalem District Court.

Netanyahu’s defense attorney, Amit Hadad, is continuing his cross-examination, focusing on the approvals Mandelblit granted for police investigations into the prime minister and allegations that investigators conducted certain actions without his authorization.

The questioning has examined Cases 1000 and 2000, involving alleged gifts from wealthy businessmen and conversations between Netanyahu and Yediot Aharonot publisher Arnon Mozes. Mandelblit described the decisions that led to preliminary inquiries and subsequent criminal investigations.

Hadad has indicated that the defense expects to need additional days to complete its questioning of Mandelblit, potentially extending his testimony beyond the originally scheduled period.
