Security forces completed 2 targeted operations against illegal “charity organizations” in Ramallah and Yatta, which served as offices for terrorist organizations, and arrested 5 operatives who collaborated with the Hamas and Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine terrorist organizations.
In a joint operation by the IDF and Shin Bet forces, security forces raided the offices of the “Addameer” charity association in Ramallah earlier this week (Tuesday).
During the operations, wanted individuals were arrested and computers, documents, and checkbooks bearing markings of designated Hamas funds were confiscated.
The “Addameer” charity association is funded by terror money and operates to provide legal aid to Popular Front terrorists imprisoned in jail. Some of the terrorists working for the association participated in the attack at Ma’ayan Dan on August 23, 2019, in which Rena Schnerb, may she rest in peace, was murdered.
In another operation against incitement and terror hubs, in recent weeks IDF forces, under the direction of the Shin Bet, raided the offices of the “Islamic Society for the Care of Orphans” in the town of Yatta in the Judea Brigade.
During the operation, wanted individuals were arrested and findings bearing markings of designated Hamas funds were confiscated. The detainees and findings were transferred for further investigation by the security forces.
The association, declared an illegal entity, served as an organizational and financial arm of the Hamas terrorist organization, which also included the transfer of funds to the terrorist organization and supported the families of terrorists and prisoners. The association’s manager and other senior officials are terrorists in the Hamas terrorist organization who have also been imprisoned in the past. The association serves as a foundation that solidifies the terrorist organization’s status in Yatta, while exploiting its apparent civilian activities.
The associations, declared as unauthorized entities, served as organizational and financial arms of terrorist organizations and supported and promoted terrorist activities throughout Judea and Samaria.
Security forces will act proactively and offensively to thwart terrorism throughout Judea and Samaria and will act to bring to justice any terrorist acting with the aim of harming civilians of the State of Israel and security forces.
