The voting for the 26th Knesset began today (Wednesday), October 21, 2026, at military polling stations on IDF bases and outposts in all sectors and will continue until the closing of the polls on election day, subject to operational needs, in order to allow all service members to exercise their right to vote.

Words of the IDF Elections Officer, Colonel Vered Ben Yehuda: “Today, after several months of preparation, IDF service members in regular service and active reserve duty have begun voting in the elections for the 26th Knesset. Mobile and stationary polling stations will be opened in all units and sectors. Hundreds of polling stations are expected to open in the IDF, and there will be several voting days in accordance with operational needs.”

“Our mission is to enable all IDF service members to exercise their democratic right to a secret ballot during operational and combat activity beyond the border. The IDF is a national people’s army and will do everything necessary to ensure the elections are conducted in an orderly manner.”

During the voting days, approximately 850 military polling stations are expected to operate, a quarter of which will be mobile polling stations, in order to reach all service members in regular service and active reserve duty in every mission and every sector.
