Jerusalem, 8 November, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Ramla’s City Hall has enacted an immediate, sweeping ban on electric scooters, motorized bikes, and all personal electric vehicles across all municipal schools and public institutions.

The strict policy, ordered directly by Mayor Michael Vidal, completely bars students and visitors from bringing or storing these motorized vehicles anywhere inside school gates, including courtyards, buildings, and parking lots.

Designed to combat reckless underage riding and safeguard students, the message to families is clear: motorized vehicles must be left at home.

Ramla’s municipal security department has deployed enforcement units to conduct rigorous daily patrols across campuses. This physical enforcement is being paired with aggressive educational campaigns in classrooms and direct appeals to parents.

City officials warn that anyone violating the directive will face strict disciplinary action, emphasizing that student safety inside educational spaces remains an absolute, non-negotiable priority.
