Jerusalem, 13 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The Israeli Health Ministry reported on Sunday that Ebola tests came back negative for a patient hospitalized after being suspected of having contracted the disease in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

The tests followed professional protocols and internationally accepted guidelines for managing high-risk infectious diseases.

The ministry stressed that no confirmed case of Ebola has been diagnosed in Israel at this time.

Ebola is not transmitted through the air. Infection occurs through direct contact with a symptomatic infected person or with their blood, bodily fluids, or secretions.

The Health Ministry will continue to update the public and medical teams as necessary.
