TPS: Palestinian Journalist Probed Over Suspected Iran Ties, Enemy Trade and Incitement
A Palestinian journalist from Beitin is under investigation by Israeli police for suspected ties to Iran, incitement, and trading with the enemy, with her.
Jerusalem, 18 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israeli police have opened an investigation into a Palestinian journalist suspected of incitement, supporting a hostile organization, harming regional security and the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), and trading with the enemy.
The journalist, a woman in her 30s from the Palestinian village of Beitin, works as a reporter for a channel allegedly linked to Iran.
Investigators from the Samaria Crime Fighting Unit are collecting evidence and examining the nature of her alleged contacts with Iran, along with suspicions of identification with and incitement to terrorism.
Police arrested the suspect several days ago and brought her to court yesterday as they sought to extend her detention. The court granted the request and ordered her detention extended by seven days, through September 23.
The investigation is ongoing and is being conducted in cooperation with additional security agencies.
