Israels Tourist Hotel Revenue Falls in First Half of 2026
Israel's tourist hotel revenue fell to 5.4 billion shekels in the first half of 2026, down from 6.1 billion shekels a year prior, with hotel employment also.
Jerusalem, 27 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — JERUSALEM — Israel’s Central Bureau of Statistics reported that revenue from tourist hotels totaled 5.4 billion shekels (about $1.4 billion) in the First Half of 2026, down from 6.1 billion shekels in the same period last year. Israeli guests accounted for 83% of revenue, similar to 84% a year earlier.
Average monthly hotel employment fell to 38,000 from 41,000 in the same period in 2025.
Seasonally adjusted data showed overall monthly hotel revenue dropped 28% in the Second Quarter compared to the first, while revenue from Israeli guests specifically rose 26% over the same period.
