Israels Public Financial Assets Rise to $2 Trillion in Second Quarter of 2026

Israel's public financial assets reached $2 trillion in Q2 2026, a 4.6% increase fueled by foreign equities, cash, and corporate bonds.

Jerusalem, 23 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The Bank of Israel reported that the public’s financial assets portfolio grew by approximately 332 billion shekels (4.6%) in the second quarter of 2026, reaching about 7.62 trillion shekels (roughly $2 trillion).

The increase was driven largely by gains in foreign equities, up 8.3%, along with growth in cash and deposits, up 4.2%, and corporate bonds, up 3.8%.

Assets managed by institutional investors rose 6.1% to approximately 3.5 trillion shekels, while mutual fund holdings grew 6% to 826 billion shekels, with net inflows concentrated in shekel money market funds and domestic bond funds.
