TPS: Indian Bharat Electronics Signs Export Deal with Elbit, Value Undisclosed
India's state-owned BEL has signed a defense export agreement with Israel's Elbit Systems, adding to growing India-Israel defense-industrial cooperation.
Jerusalem, 20 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — India’s state-owned Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has signed an export agreement with Israel’s Elbit Systems for the supply of defense-related equipment.
The agreement was signed during a visit by an Elbit Systems delegation to BEL’s facilities in India. The companies did not disclose the financial value of the deal or provide detailed information about the equipment covered by the agreement.
BEL, a major Indian defense electronics manufacturer under the Ministry of Defense, has increasingly expanded its international partnerships as India seeks to strengthen domestic defense production and develop export capabilities.
Elbit Systems is one of Israel’s largest defense companies, supplying advanced systems for land, air, naval, and intelligence applications.
The agreement adds to growing defense-industrial cooperation between India and Israel, which has developed substantially over the past several decades.
