TPS: Silwan Murder Solved: Two Eastern Jerusalem Suspects Arrested in Hebron
Two Eastern Jerusalem men were arrested in Hebron for the June murder of Hussein Issa in Silwan, stemming from a family feud.
Jerusalem, 17 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Police have solved the June murder of 22-year-old Hussein Issa, who was shot dead in the Silwan neighborhood of Jerusalem, in an attack that also left his brother moderately wounded.
After a manhunt, two suspects, Eastern Jerusalem residents in their twenties, were located and arrested during an operational raid deep inside Hebron, carried out by fighters from Unit 33 of the Lahav 433 major crimes investigations division.
According to police, the shooting stemmed from an ongoing, long-running feud between rival families.
Following their arrest, the two suspects were brought in for questioning as investigators built the evidentiary case against them. A prosecutor’s statement of intent to indict was filed against the pair on Wednesday, and their remand has been extended until September 20, at which point an indictment is expected to be formally filed in court.
