Jerusalem, 15 October, 2026 (TPS-IL) — A 36-year-old Palestinian man from Samaria who was staying in Israel illegally was arrested Thursday in south Tel Aviv after allegedly assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest, Israeli media reported.
The man was detained and, during a search, police found a knife concealed alongside a lighter he was carrying.
The suspect was taken to the south Tel Aviv police station for questioning. Police are expected to ask a court to extend his detention.
