The Inspector General: “The volunteer security teams system – a force multiplier for the Israel Police and dramatically strengthens initial response capability.” As part of the Central District‘s preparations for the remainder of the Sukkot intermediate days, hundreds of District police officers, Border Police fighters, and volunteer security teams were deployed at entertainment venues, crowd gathering points, and the seam area, as part of heightened readiness to maintain public security. In this context, the Inspector General of Police, Commissioner Danny Levi, visited the operational readiness today, along with the District Commander Superintendent Amir Cohen, the Border Police Commander Superintendent Barak Yitzhak, and the Head of the Operations Division Superintendent David Filo, and closely observed the forces’ readiness and operational response in the various sectors. During the visit, the Inspector General met with the volunteer security teams in the Sharon area and assessed their fitness and equipment as an initial and available response force for emergency scenarios.
