Jerusalem, 19 August, 2026 (TPS-IL) — National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir on Wednesday marked what he called “a significant milestone,” saying his enforcement policy had reached 10,000 Illegal Structures demolished in the past year and a half across Israel, primarily in the Negev, including nearly 6,000 in the past year alone.

The 10,000th demolition took place in the Juarish neighborhood of Ramla.

According to Ben Gvir, under his enforcement policy, land totaling an area equivalent to the combined size of Tel Aviv and Givatayim has so far been cleared.

“Once, officials were afraid to take on illegal construction and organized crime families, and instead chose to abandon state land. But I did not give up, and I will not give up,” Ben Gvir proclaimed.
