Kiryat Malachi Police Arrest Three Suspects in School Break-Ins, Theft of Hundreds of Tablets
Kiryat Malachi police arrested three suspects in a month-long investigation into a ring that stole hundreds of student tablets from six schools in southern.
Jerusalem, 22 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Kiryat Malachi, Israel — Israeli law enforcement officers arrested three suspects following a month-long investigation into a burglary ring accused of stealing hundreds of student tablets, police announced.
The ring allegedly carried out six school break-ins across the Lachish region, targeting educational facilities in Nitzanim, Beit Hanan, Be’er Ganim, and Emunim, in southern Israel.
Detectives, officers from the Kiryat Malachi police station, and Southern Border Police officers intercepted the suspects on Highway 6 near Kiryat Malachi (located north of Be’er Sheva) while they were traveling toward the Sharon region.
The suspects, residents of southern Israel’s Bedouin community, were taken into custody and transferred to the Kiryat Malachi police station for interrogation as the investigation continues.
