Israel’s Military and Security Chiefs Meet to Discuss Expanding Cooperation

Jerusalem, 28 January, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The head of the General Security Service (Israel’s anti-terror service), David Zini, and the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir, held a joint meeting today (Wednesday) at the Shin Bet headquarters.

The two discussed further strengthening cooperation between the organizations in the various arenas – the Gaza Strip, Judea and Samaria, and the borders of Israel. They also discussed the challenges facing the organizations during this sensitive period.

The head of the Shin Bet and the Chief of Staff also met with the organization’s service headquarters forum for a security review and a discussion on the necessary coordination and cooperation between the organizations.
