Jerusalem, 7 October, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The October Council, representing more than 1,500 bereaved families, hostage families, October 7 survivors and reservists, announced a mass rally in Tel Aviv three days before Israel’s October 27 election.
The rally is scheduled for Saturday, October 24, at Hostages Square, where organizers will demand the establishment of a state commission of inquiry into the October 7 disaster. Opposition leaders are expected to participate in the event.
The council has campaigned for an independent state investigation and has criticized the government’s approach to investigating the failures surrounding the Hamas attack.
The October Council says its criticism is directed at those who held positions of responsibility, including political and military leaders.
