Jerusalem, 22 October, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet), in coordination with the State Attorney’s Cyber Department and the Central Elections Committee, announced the removal of numerous social media accounts conducting covert foreign influence operations targeting Israeli voters.
The joint counter-interference initiative detected covert digital profiles systematically attempting to manipulate domestic public discourse ahead of the upcoming parliamentary elections.
Israeli cyber officials confirmed the immediate removal of the covert accounts across key platforms to safeguard democratic integrity and prevent foreign election interference.
Security authorities emphasized that multi-agency monitoring operations will continue actively neutralizing hostile cyber influence campaigns, ensuring transparent democratic processes, and protecting sovereign electoral systems against clandestine external manipulation.
