Eisenkot Takes Swipe at Channel 14 Campaign Piece Before It Airs

Jerusalem, 22 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Yashar party chairman Gadi Eisenkot took a swipe at >”>Channel 14 hours before the network aired the first episode of a documentary series examining his military and political career.
Channel 14 promoted the program by describing Eisenkot as a “boy from Afula” who rose to the top of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) before entering politics.
Eisenkot seized on the biographical faux pas, arguing, “You haven’t broadcast a minute of the ‘investigation’ yet, and here is the first lie.”
Eisenkot continued, “I love Afula, but I was born in Tiberias and grew up in Eilat.”
The documentary is presented by Channel 14 as examining the decisions, perceptions, and strategic concepts that shaped Eisenkot and the IDF.
