Objects Thrown at Bennett in Bnei Brak Restaurant, Female Staffer Injured
Former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett was targeted with thrown objects during a campaign visit to a Bnei Brak restaurant, injuring a staff member.
Jerusalem, 25 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett was escorted from a restaurant in Bnei Brak Thursday night after a disturbance erupted during an election campaign visit.
Bennett, chairman of the B’Yachad (Together) party, had arrived to film a video and meet with yeshiva students when a group of political activists arrived. Two objects were thrown toward Bennett, according to his party, striking a female staff member in the head. She was treated at the scene by Magen David Adom and released without further medical care.
Police said a passerby threw an object at a public figure but did not hit him, and officers immediately arrested a suspect for questioning. Footage showed a crowd gathering outside the restaurant and a confrontation between Bennett and right-wing activist Mordechai David.
Bennett was later escorted from the scene by security forces.
