Jerusalem, 5 October, 2026 (TPS-IL) — TEL AVIV — Israel’s Ministry of Finance, the Histadrut labor federation, and the Population and Immigration Authority signed a landmark six-year collective agreement covering approximately 300 enforcement personnel.
The first-of-its-kind pact transitions agents combating illegal employment, labor exploitation, and unregulated staffing agencies from individual contracts to a collective bargaining framework. Designed to boost retention amid expanding foreign labor numbers, the agreement introduces higher salary scales, signing bonuses, and tailored compensation for field operations, on-call availability, and asylum claim processing.
Officials emphasized that fortifying the enforcement division will enhance national security, uphold immigration laws, and protect fair labor market standards across the country.
