Jerusalem, 8 October, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The IDF eliminated Hamas military wing commander Ibrahim Alam in an airstrike in Khan Yunis earlier this week. Alam infiltrated Israel during the October 7, 2023 massacre, participated in the murder of numerous Israeli civilians, and helped abduct the body of Sgt. Shaked Dahan to the Gaza Strip.
In a separate airstrike on Tuesday, the IDF killed Hamas military wing terrorist Moatasem Muhammad Suleiman Salah. The IDF said both terrorists had recently advanced plans to attack Israeli civilians and IDF troops while working to restore Hamas’s military capabilities, in repeated violations of the ceasefire.
The IDF said the strikes were carried out to remove the threats posed by the terrorists. Before the attacks, the military took measures to reduce civilian harm, including using precision weapons and aerial surveillance.
