Jerusalem, 16 October, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) eliminated two terrorists in separate airstrikes in the Gaza Strip on Thursday, the military announced.
In northern Gaza, the IDF killed Muhammad Muhammad Abd al-Khalak Hala, a commander in Hamas’s military wing who infiltrated Israel during the October 7, 2023, massacre. Hala served in Hamas’s weapons production headquarters, where he helped manufacture various weapons and advance the terrorist organization’s military buildup throughout Gaza.
In a separate strike in Khan Yunis, southern Gaza, the IDF eliminated Ahmed Jabrin Tawfiq Dalhan, a terrorist in the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ).
According to the IDF, both terrorists had recently carried out attacks against Israeli forces and civilians and attempted to rebuild their organizations’ capabilities, systematically violating the ceasefire. The military said it carried out the airstrikes to eliminate the threats.
