Jerusalem, 27 August, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Border Police Commander Yitzhak Brik directed the execution of a large-scale readiness exercise across all sectors of the country and in Judea and Samaria, which began earlier Wednesday.

As part of the exercise, Border Police forces, including special units, were mobilized to various sectors nationwide to practice a rapid transition from routine to emergency operations, handling complex, multi-front emergencies, hostile terrorist activity incidents, civil emergencies, and large-scale force deployment.

The exercise is designed to test force readiness, enhance operational competence and alertness, and practice deployment on order, enabling a rapid, effective and lethal response when required.

Due to the exercise, heavy movement of security and emergency forces will be noticeable along major routes nationwide over the coming hours. Police asked the public to remain vigilant, heed instructions from officers in the field, and avoid unnecessary gatherings in exercise areas.
