Jerusalem, 25 August, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The water level of the Kinneret – the Sea of Galilee – fell by 1cm over the last day to 213.235 meters below sea level, 23.5 cm below its “Lower Red Line.” To put this into perspective, the city of Tiberias along its western shore is 200 meters below sea level.
The Lower Red Line is a critical warning marker indicating that the water level is dangerously low.
