Nine suspects were arrested. About a month ago, a report was received about a series of thefts of “Club Car” vehicles from the communities of Gan Shomron, Kfar Pines, Sedot Yam, and Gan Samuel. As part of the investigation, which was conducted covertly for several weeks, investigators from the Coastal District of the Border Police utilized advanced intelligence and technological capabilities to track down the suspects and locate the stolen vehicles. During an operation in Qalqilya, carried out in cooperation with fighters from the Shiloh Battalion of the West Bank Border Police, four suspects, residents of the city, were arrested and stolen vehicles were located. Simultaneously, in a joint operation with fighters from the Tactical Brigade of the Border Police in the Wadi Ara region, five additional suspects, residents of the area, were arrested. During the removal of the stolen vehicles from Qalqilya, violent disturbances developed at several locations, with the participation of hundreds of rioters who threw stones and rocks at the forces, blocked roads, and set tires and bins on fire. The forces acted to disperse the disturbances using riot dispersal means and live fire according to the developing threat. During the events, several hits on rioters were identified. As a result of the stone-throwing, two Border Police fighters were injured and received medical treatment in the field.
