Jerusalem, 15 October, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israeli security forces have uncovered a major illicit stockpile hidden in an open area in eastern Jerusalem, police announced Thursday. Detectives from the Shafat Police Station alongside Border Police K9 units executed the targeted search operation.

Law enforcement officers seized significant commercial quantities of illegal narcotics, including cocaine, hashish, marijuana, and 5,230 pills suspected of being ecstasy.

Officers also confiscated 90 electronic cigarettes alongside 30 rounds of 9mm handgun ammunition from the site. Authorities have launched an investigation to trace the illicit network responsible for trafficking the contraband, emphasizing ongoing enforcement operations to curb weapons and drug distribution across the capital region.
