Jerusalem, 30 October, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Clara Schneiderova, 30, head of the Czech Embassy’s Jerusalem branch, was killed Thursday after being struck by a minibus near Jerusalem’s Mahane Yehuda Market.

According to the Czech Embassy, the minibus driver lost control on Agrippas Street, mounted the sidewalk, struck Schneiderova and then crashed into a store. She sustained critical injuries and was evacuated to Shaare Zedek Medical Center while emergency teams performed resuscitation efforts. She was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

Magen David Adom paramedics said they found her unconscious, without a pulse or breathing, and immediately began advanced resuscitation and bleeding-control procedures.

Police detained the minibus driver for questioning.
