TPS: 17-Year-Old Killed in Hadera Shopping Center Ramming, Driver Wounded in Shooting

A 17-year-old boy died after a vehicle ramming and shooting at Hadera's Village shopping complex; the driver was wounded. Police believe it's a criminal.

Jerusalem, 18 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Police have opened an investigation into a deadly shooting and vehicle-ramming incident at the village shopping complex in Hadera early Friday morning.

According to a preliminary investigation, the incident began with a confrontation between several parties. During the altercation, a 17-year-old boy was struck and run over by a vehicle, followed by gunfire at the scene.

The teenager was critically wounded and later pronounced dead. The vehicle’s driver sustained minor injuries from the shooting and was evacuated for medical treatment.

Large police forces from the Hadera station arrived at the scene, collected evidence and began investigating the circumstances. Following a situation assessment, the investigation was transferred to the Menashe District Police Central Unit.

Police said the incident is currently believed to have a criminal motive. There is no suspicion at this stage that it was terror-related.
