Kiteworks has acquired Israeli AI data security firm Bonfy.AI, enhancing its Data Control Plane with real-time data classification and policy enforcement.

Jerusalem, 10 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — U.S. cybersecurity company Kiteworks has acquired Israeli-founded AI data security firm Bonfy.AI, the companies announced.

Bonfy.AI, which is backed by Israeli venture capital firm TLV Partners, develops technology that classifies sensitive data and enforces security policies in real time as information moves through email, file-sharing platforms, SaaS applications and artificial intelligence systems.

The acquisition will integrate Bonfy.AI’s technology into Kiteworks’ Data Control Plane, enabling enterprises to apply data governance policies at the point of exchange. The system evaluates factors including the sender, recipient, channel and purpose before allowing data to be shared.
