Israels Valens Semiconductor Partners With US-Based onsemi on Automotive Sensors
Israel's Valens Semiconductor and US-based onsemi are collaborating to develop lower-cost 3-megapixel automotive camera sensors.
Jerusalem, 22 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israeli semiconductor company Valens Semiconductor announced that it will work with US-based onsemi to develop a lower-cost sensor for 3-megapixel automotive cameras.
The companies said the new solution will combine Valens’ MIPI A-PHY connectivity technology with onsemi’s image sensors. The goal is to make automotive camera systems simpler and help automakers and major suppliers adopt the technology more quickly.
The collaboration combines Valens’ expertise in high-speed connectivity with onsemi’s automotive imaging technology. MIPI A-PHY is an industry standard designed to connect cameras and other sensors in vehicles.
Valens, based in Hod Hasharon, said the 3-megapixel solution targets the large market for automotive cameras.
