Cornerstone Laid for New Joshuas Trail Biblical Era Promenade Connecting Elon Moreh to Mount Kabir
A new "Joshua's Trail" promenade, featuring a suspension bridge, is being built to connect Elon Moreh Heritage Center to Mount Kabir Nature Reserve.
Jerusalem, 24 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — ALON MOREH — Israeli officials laid the cornerstone for “Joshua’s Trail,” an accessible tourist promenade featuring a suspension bridge that links the Elon Moreh Heritage Center to the Mount Kabir Nature Reserve in Samaria.
The 3.2 million NIS ($870,000) project marks the initial phase of the Ministry of Tourism’s broader “Bible Trails in Judea and Samaria” regional initiative, carried out in partnership with the Judea and Samaria Cluster. Tourism Minister Haim Katz, Heritage Minister Amichai Eliyahu, and Samaria Regional Council Head Yossi Dagan attended the ceremony. Officials highlighted that the trail is designed to boost tourism infrastructure while showcasing the area’s historical heritage and scenic landscapes.
