IDF Destroys 32 Hezbollah Rockets Ready to Strike Israel
Israeli forces have destroyed 32 Hezbollah rockets discovered in southern Lebanon, part of ongoing efforts to neutralize the group's infrastructure.
Jerusalem, 15 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The IDF said on Tuesday that its forces destroyed 32 rockets aimed at Israeli territory. The rockets were discovered during sweeps of the security zone in southern Lebanon.
Troops from the 55th Brigade Combat Team, operating under the 91st Division, located and destroyed a Hezbollah holding position that included a weapons shaft and ready-to-use launchers, according to an IDF spokesperson’s statement.
The rockets, along with the launch infrastructure, had reportedly been left in the area by Hezbollah before the ceasefire took effect and remained hidden until this operation uncovered them.
The find is part of the IDF’s ongoing effort to locate and neutralize Hezbollah infrastructure across southern Lebanon, following the broader campaign that has already dismantled the group’s tunnel networks and strongholds in the region, including at the Ali al-Taher ridge.
