Jerusalem, 22 October, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israeli company DriveNets is expanding its presence in Japan after its networking software was used in new routers installed by Japanese telecommunications provider OPTAGE, the companies announced.
The routers were delivered through NEC Networks & System Integration, a Japanese company that helped design and install the system. DriveNets’ software allows OPTAGE to choose hardware and software separately, potentially making it easier to expand its network and reduce costs as internet traffic grows.
DriveNets, based in Ra’anana, said the deployment could help expand the use of its technology in Japan. Its software is already being used in the core network of KDDI, another Japanese telecommunications provider.
