Children waiting for a hug, spouses bearing the burden, parents who worry. There is a business you built with your own hands, studies that were interrupted, and plans that were postponed. And amidst all this, you stand up, again and again, to defend the State of Israel. I want to tell you from the bottom of my heart: Thank you. For the bravery, for the sacrifice, for the camaraderie, and for the love of the land. You provide security for all of us, and with your resilience, you also give the people of Israel hope. As Prime Minister, my responsibility is to ensure that the state stands by you and your families. Our appreciation must be reflected in decisions, budgets, and assistance that is felt in real life. Therefore, we have advanced full funding for undergraduate tuition for eligible combatants within the framework of “Dimensions for Studies.” We have advanced tax credit points for reservists, to leave more money in their net pay, and expanded priority for reservists in housing programs and lot allocations. We have allocated billions of shekels for assistance programs, compensation, and grants: for personal expenses, household economy, families, and those serving for extended periods. Alongside these, we have advanced assistance for self-employed individuals whose businesses were affected, assistance following loss of income in the family, and support for students who had to leave their studies and report for service. The entire family also needs support. Therefore, we have expanded provisions for participation in childcare and summer camp expenses, assistance with moving, psychological and marital counseling, and vacation vouchers, according to eligibility criteria. We have also advanced employment protections for spouses of reservists, and reimbursement for travel on Highway 6 to and from service. I thank my colleagues in the government and the Knesset, including Coalition Chairman Ofir Katz, for their partnership in advancing legislation and assistance. I know that even after all these steps, there are difficulties that require solutions. Our responsibility continues even after returning home. And to the wives of reservists, to the spouses, to the children, and to the parents: Thank you for the strength you give your loved ones. For the nights of worry, for managing the household, and for so many moments when you are required to be strong. Your sacrifice is an integral part of Israel’s security. Our beloved reservists, you are lions. I am proud of you, I love you, and I thank you on behalf of all the people of Israel. We will continue to act so that you can protect the country, build your future, and return to your families with your heads held high. 🇮🇱
