Jerusalem, 2 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The Central Elections Committee concluded registration for Election Integrity Inspector positions with exceptionally high public engagement: approximately 55,000 candidates registered during the enrollment period, marking a 145% surge compared to the roughly 22,400 who applied Ahead of the 25th Knesset Elections.
Combined with applicants for Ballot Committee Secretary positions, the total number of candidates registered to work on Election Day for the 26th Knesset reached a record roughly 260,000.
The committee said election integrity inspectors play a central role in Election Day proceedings, including supervision, documenting irregularities, and recording the vote-counting process to preserve election integrity, ensure transparency, and prevent fraud.
